The Marketing manager will be prepared to work in a start-up environment in an Israeli based company operating in the life science scientific research field (Cell Biology, immunology, stem cell research and later clinical diagnostic fields). The successful candidate will be expected to initiate and lead the corporate marketing and sales programs in the USA. He/she will create, implement and nurture the overall strategy for product introduction and positioning in the American life science market. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self starter who at the outset will be required to operate on his/her own in planning and executing complex and variable marketing and sales programs.
The US Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
• Optimization and on-going enhancement of the company’s marketing plan
• Supervising and participating in the preparation of marketing material
• Constant contribution to the product definition process of market information and customer insight
• Guiding the company with respect to the competitive aspects of the market and product
• Actively leading the successful product launch and introduction of our product lines in the USA (including public relations, sales channels preparation, training programs, etc)
• Supporting the scientific and clinical collaboration programs of the company
• Direct initial sales activities following market launch
• Initial communication with potential strategic partners
• Managing the logistics of marketing activities in the USA including seminars, exhibitions, etc
• On-going interaction with and reporting to corporate management
• Frequent travel required
Skills required
• MA or PhD in life sciences (preferably Cell Biology, immunology)
• 5 years of experience in marketing or sales positions
• Familiar with the life science research market (major advantage)
• An academic degree in marketing (preferable)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken)
• Self motivated, energetic and out-going team player
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, quick response, demanding and constantly changing multi-cultural environment
