• Monitoring & troubleshooting bottlenecks and performance problems.
• Writing stored procedures
• Handling large scale databases
• Writing DTS packages
• Tuning & performance optimization
• Designing backup and recovery plan
• Participate in 24x7 support of the production systems

• Works well in operation/maintenance mode.
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION MUST THIS PERSON HAVE:
• SQL programmer (high level) – at least 1 yr. As DBA, 3 yrs.
• Experience in OLAP maintenance and development.
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION WOULD BE AN ASSET TO THIS JOB:
• Worked in large scale environment, 24/7 environment
• Experience in programming Visual Basic, C++, JAVA, ASP
• MCDBA
• Familiarity with Operating systems, mass storage and backup software
• MySQL/Linux – an asset
